What We Do

Services

Nine service categories, each shown with photos from finished Chief Meadows projects.

01 / 09

Retaining Walls

Engineered block and boulder walls that hold back grade, stop erosion, and turn an unusable slope into level, planted living space. Built with proper base compaction, drainage rock, and backfill so the wall stays true through Nebraska freeze-thaw cycles.

Flagstone & Paver Patios

Natural flagstone and interlocking paver patios, walkways, steps, and seat walls set over a compacted aggregate base with jointing sand or polymeric sweep. Laid to drain away from the house and edged so the field stays tight for decades.

Water Features

Pondless waterfalls, bubbling boulders, and basin-fed streams built around a hidden reservoir and recirculating pump. Stone is stacked and sealed so water reads natural, and the system runs with routine seasonal startup and shutdown.

Decorative Rock & Stone Edging

Decorative rock beds over commercial-grade fabric with cut stone or steel edging holding a crisp line between bed and turf. A low-maintenance alternative to mulch that will not wash out or need annual replacement.

Mulch & Stone Edging

Fresh mulch installs with a hand-cut spade edge or set stone border. Mulch moderates soil temperature, holds moisture at the root zone, and suppresses weeds, while the defined edge keeps beds looking maintained year round.

Plantings

Trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses, and perennials selected for the site's sun, soil, and USDA zone, then placed for mature size rather than day-one fill. Planted at proper depth with amended backfill and a watering plan for establishment.

Irrigation

Irrigation and drainage work: zoned sprinkler lines and heads matched to turf and bed areas, plus French-drain-style systems that collect subsurface water in a gravel-bedded perforated pipe and carry it away from foundations and low spots.

Sod Removal & Installation

Existing turf stripped, grade corrected, and soil prepped before fresh sod is laid tight-seamed and rolled. An instant, erosion-ready lawn with a clear watering schedule for root knit-in.

Landscape Lighting

Low-voltage lighting that extends the yard past sunset: path lights, uplights on specimen trees and stone, and wash lighting on walls and steps. Fixtures are placed for safe footing and to show off the hardscape, not to glare.
